Tell Me
If you've forgotten your SPS One Login password, you can request a link to reset your password be sent to you by clicking Forgot Password under the One Login login prompt. You will be prompted for your W# followed by a prompt to select an authentication factor. Once you've completed the authentication method successfully, a link to reset your password will be sent to the email address on file. If you're not receiving the reset link, you'll need to reach out to the state's SPS Help Desk at 410-767-4112 directly.
If your security factor isn’t working AND you do not have a backup factor set up, please call the Technology Support Center Monday-Friday between 9 AM and 4 PM so that we can troubleshoot with you further.
Common reasons for not being able to request a reset link include:
- No longer having access to or have replaced your MFA device - The OneLogin Protect app is device-specific. If you replace the device, you will need to remember to reconfigure your MFA method before getting rid of the old device. For this reason, we recommend having a backup authentication method should your MFA device be lost, stolen, or otherwise no longer available.
- Checking the incorrect location for the MFA code -Several options including SMS, email, and the OneLogin Protect app are available as MFA methods. Please make sure you're checking the correct location. Note: The State of Maryland's OneLogin MFA system is separate from UMBC's MFA system through Duo.
- Answering security questions incorrectly - If using security questions as your MFA method, you must answer all three questions correctly.
Due to security reasons, assistance with the OneLogin MFA security factors must be requested directly over the phone or in-person at the Technology Support Center.
