What is Google App Sync for Microsoft Outlook?

Google App Sync for Microsoft Outlook is a program available for PC users with enterprise Google Apps accounts to sync their Google Mail, Contacts, and Calendars with a compatible version of Microsoft Outlook (compatible versions are Microsoft Office 2003 or higher).  Google App Sync uses the MAPI protocol to sync data between Google and a Microsoft Outlook data file (.pst)
