Tell Me

The first step is to record your Class Collaborate session. After the Class Collaborate session, allow up to 24 hours to process and render the recording into a playable format. The recording will be available through the Class Collaborate Ultra tool under your course's Control Panel.

  • Click the hamburger icon in the Collab menu and select recordings.

  • Use search to find specific recordings.

  • Change the filter to range if your recording was made before the default 7-day search parameters and select specific dates.

You have three options to provide the recording to your class: Email the recording link, post the recording link to the course shell, or download the recording's MP4 to cloud storage (e.g. Box, Google Drive, etc.).

Email the Recording

  1. Access the recording control panel.

  2. Identify the specific recording you want to share.

  3. Click the three-dot menu on the far right of that recording to access its Collab menu.

  4. Select Copy Link.

  5. Create a new email and paste the link.

  6. Send to your class.

  5. Create a new content item, web link, announcement, etc.

  6. Embed your recording link.

  7. Save.

Download the Recording's MP4

Before you can download a recording, you must enable recording downloads. You can do this at the time you create the session or by editing the session. Check the "Allow recording downloads" setting.

Once the download is enabled, you or students can access the MP4 through the streamed recording link that was emailed or posted or through the Collab Ultra control panel.

To download from the Collab Ultra control panel:

  1. Access the recording control panel.

  2. Identify the specific recording you want to download.

  3. Click the three-dot menu on the far right of that recording to access its Collab menu.

  4. Select Download.

To download from the playable stream:

  1. Access the recording control panel.

  2. Identify the specific recording you want to download.

  3. Click the three-dot menu on the far right of that recording to access its Collab menu.

  4. Select Watch now.

  5. The recording will open in a new tab or window.

  6. Click the hamburger icon in the upper left corner of the recording to view the menu.

  7. Select download recording.

Depending on the length of your recording, the file size will vary, but the format will be MP4. Save the recording to your preferred cloud storage solution and share the link with your course.
