- Open Access in Office 20072013
- Go to ordersOrders, double click book request file (f you can't get to Orders through Access go to I:Orders/)
- Tab to Forms Select if this doesn't work loolk for BookRequest2new (I:Orders\bookRequest2new.mdb)
- Double click on Main interface
- Click on "Assign Selectors" box
- Click on "look for a user" just to see if a person is there already
- To add a user click on "Add a user"
- Don't print order whatever you doDO NOT PRINT ANYTHING!
- In "print list" select "small liaisons list"To lists
- You'll need to copy to shared drive as an RTF (rich text file) (while department selectors file is open)
- Click File, Save as/export, save to an external file, ok,file
- Save to Library Wide, liaisons, current chairs and liaisons, save file type as RTF
- Click export, OK.
- Go to Word, open RTF and save a s a text file.(doc file)
- Send email to libstaff with the new info Save in Library Wide as a file in Liaisons file
To add secondary selector:
- Open Access in Microsoft Office 2007 2013 and go to main interface forms
- Click on "Assign the new selector"
- Go to bottom of list
- Select "dept"
- Select "person"
- Select "secondary selector"
- Close the window and exit
...
- Open MyUMBC
- Under Services, click on My UMBC Mailing lists
- Login, then scroll down the left side to the list
- Click on the name of the the list you want to update
- Click on subscribers
- To delete a name click on the box next to the name, then click on "Delete Selected Addresses"
- To add a name go to the box at the top of the list and add the email address
