2) Type in your UMBC email address and fill in all the requested information that is displayed on the page. Click Create when you are finished. For How will you use MathWorks software?, choose Teaching or research in school if you are faculty, a researcher, or grad student. If you are a student, choose Student use.
3) MathWorks will ask you to verify the UMBC email address you provided in step 2. Follow the directions that are displayed on the page to verify the email address.

9) Enter the credentials for the MathWorks account that you created earlier in this guide into the the labeled fields and click Next to proceed with the installation.
10) Make sure "Select a license" license is selected and shows UMBC's campus license in the list, and then click Next to proceed with the Matlab installation. NOTE: If for some reason you do not have a UMBC campus license associated with your account, select Enter an Activation Key for a license not listed, enter the Stand-Alone Activation Key from our Matlab download page in myUMBC, and then click Next to associate your account with the UMBC Matlab license.
