Initiating
- Control Computer: Start ASCOM Dome Control Panel application
- Press "Connect"
- Select "Slave Dome to Scope"
- Front Panel:
- Enable "MTR DRIVER CHASSIS"
- Enable "DRIVES"
- Enable "AUTO DOME"
- Switch "DOME TRACK" from "HOME"
Disabling
- Disable only after Scope is stowed at Zenith
- Front Panel:
- Disable "AUTO DOME" switch (see above)
- Control Computer:
- Desselect "Slave Dome to Scope"
Common Problems
- If the Dome and Scope seem misaligned:
- If DFMTCS reports the Dome and Scope are in the same positions (Reported "Azimuth")
- Using handpaddle: Align Dome to Scope while AutoDome is disabled
- After aligning, navigate to DFM TCS > Telescope > Initialization > Other Positions> "Set Dome Position" and press "Use Telescope Azimuth", then "Apply".
- If it doesn't
- Perhaps wait for a bit for the DFM TCS to poll again or try changing the telescope position (aka try again)
- If DFMTCS reports the Dome and Scope are in the same positions (Reported "Azimuth")
- If the Dome doesn't respond to TCS input:
- Likely that switch in Dome Control Panel Box (in Dome) isn't set to "REMOTE" position
