To provide additional security of valuable collections and equipment beyond that afforded by restricting key distribution, security systems have been installed in certain areas of the Library & Gallery.

The Director of the Library, or the Director's designee, continually reviews adequacy of existing security systems and provides for changes or improvements. The Director, or designee, in consultation with unit heads responsible for certain Library areas, assigns security authorization codes at appropriate levels and instructs designated staff in proper system(s) operation.
