Degree Audit shows the wrong requirements for my advisee

When students declare their programs, they are automatically enrolled in the catalog year that matches the semester they declared their program. For example, if a student declared the PSYC BS degree in Fall 2017, they would be following the Fall 2017 catalog requirements.

Departments are allowed to update a student's catalog requirements at their discretion if it benefits the student. Departments can:

  • Update a student to an older catalog year based on when the student was first enrolled at UMBC
  • Update a student to a newer catalog year based on changes in the program's curriculum

To update a student's Requirement Term, the advisor must fill out and submit the Requirement Term Change Form, and submit the form to Records. Once the form is processed, advisors and students can see the change reflected on Degree Audit.
