Aleph User IDs and Password Guidelines
Accounts will become unusable:
1. After three consecutive login failures
2. After being unused for 180 days (accounts previously used).
3. For new accounts, if they are not used within 30 days of being created. (When you get a new account please login as soon as you have the chance)
Passwords for Aleph staff users must follow these rules:
1. Must be between 8 and 10 characters long
2. Must contain at least one alphabetic and one numeric character
3. Must be changed after 180 days (or sooner)
4. New password has to be different from the previous passwords you have used.
5. Initial password must be changed on first login
Keep in Mind:
If you have multiple accounts, each account has to be used within the 180 days or it will be blocked so be sure to login with all of your
accounts. If you have access to Aleph Test you will need to login using your Aleph ID in Test within 180 days or it will be blocked.ITD is no longer supporting group accounts.
When requesting new accounts, you need to submit the name of the person to be connected to the account and whether that person will need Task Manager Access and whether they need access to General reports or Sensitive reports.
There are two major categories of permissions for Task Manager report access:
General reports
Sensitive data -- circulation notices/reports, including holds available, bursar, cash, HS_delinquencies, overdue/lost, recalls, expired holds, holdshelf, courtesy, booking reminders, and booking deletes.
BCPrint has been disabled.
For campuses who automate their circulation priting process the print daemon has been set up for that campus.
