Allied Health
The Office for Academic and Pre-Professional Advising (OAPA) helps guide students on their path to acceptance and entry into an accredited school for the Allied Health profession of their choosing. It is important to note that the path chosen for a particular Allied Health field IS NOT the same as being accepted into a school of the chosen field, it is simply a path which helps to provide students with the structure, focus, and knowledge needed to be as prepared as possible to eventually graduate and qualify for acceptance into a given Allied Health field. For example, if a UMBC student chooses to follow the Pre-Physical Therapy path at UMBC, neither acceptance into UMBC nor completion of the given path implies acceptance into any Physical Therapy program.
