Why does VoiceThread say my account has been deleted?

When a VoiceThread account has been inactive for a period of time, the account is archived and eventually deleted. If an account has been archived, users will see the following message when they try to access VoiceThread:

If your account has been archived less than 30 days, Instructional Technology can reactivate the account. To request account reactivation, please submit an RT request. An account remains archived for 30 days, and if it is not reactivated by an administrator during that time, it is deleted permanently. Once an account is deleted, it cannot be restored.

Archive Notification:

If a user creates VoiceThread content, they will be notified by email after 2 years of inactivity that they need to access VoiceThread to keep their account and content. If they do not log in within 30 days, the account will be archived and subsequently deleted. Read the complete VoiceThread Inactive Accounts Policy ↗︎

Export VoiceThreads into Video Files:

One way to preserve VoiceThread content is to export↗︎ completed projects to video format. The resulting video includes all media, comments, and Doodles.
