How do I access Akindi as a TA?

How do I access Akindi as a TA?

If a Teaching Assistant (TA) needs access to Akindi and sees an error message after launching Akindi within Blackboard, please submit an RT request for Akindi access.

Tell Me

  1. Please submit an RT request if a Teaching Assistant is unable to access Akindi from within the Blackboard course of record.

  2. Instructional Technology will give the TA access to a separate Blackboard shell to provision Akindi access.

  3. The course instructor will need to launch Akindi from the Books & Tools menu and add the TA as a Collaborator, using the TA's campusid@umbc.edu email address. NOTE: The email address is case-sensitive and should be entered in upper-case (e.g. AA12345@umbc.edu).

  4. Once they have been added as a collaborator, the TA will then be able to access the designated Akindi Blackboard shell from their designated “Akindi TA” Blackboard course, launch Akindi from the Books & Tools menu, and then select the correct course from their list of courses in the Akindi menu.
