How do I delete Panopto recordings from my computer?

When Panopto records a screencast, it stores the video on your local hard drive before uploading it to the Panopto cloud for streaming. Offline video recordings are always stored on your computer until you choose to upload them to Panopto. Over time, these videos will consume space on your computer. If you need to make space on your computer, you can remove these locally recorded videos.

Please verify you have uploaded any video to Panopto before removing it from your computer. If you delete a recording that has not yet been uploaded to the server, that recording will be lost!

Windows

  1. Open the Panopto recording application for Windows.

  2. Click on the Manage Recordings tab.

  3. Scroll down to the Uploaded Recordings section.

  4. Select the video you want to delete.




  5. Select Delete Local to remove a recording.



Mac

  1. Open the Panopto recording application for MacOS.

  2. Select the video you want to delete.





  3. Click the DELETE button at the bottom of the screen.
