Can I have a static IP address?

Unfortunately, at this time we have no efficient mechanism for assigning static addresses to users on ResNet.

With that said, the address that you receive is “relatively static,” that is to say that the lease time is fairly long and your address should remain should you choose to periodically reboot your device.  Additionally, statically assigning yourself an address may render your system inoperative on the network.
