Holds appear under the Alerts section of myUMBC.

Holds can prevent you from things like being able to register for classes, obtaining a transcript and your diploma. Depending on the type of hold you have on your, you will need to contact the appropriate department for specific information regarding your hold. 

Administrative Holds – Registrar’s Office

Financial Holds – Student Business Services

Health Services Holds – Health Services
