Can more than one person be associated with a ticket?
Tell me
RT lets you specify more than one Requestor for a Ticket. You can also specify others to be associated with a Ticket in different capacities. These people are called Watchers.
Situations where you may want to add watchers to a ticket would be:
- Someone who does not have consultant access to your Queue who needs to keep an eye on the progress of a ticket.
- Others who have an interest in the progress of a ticket that were not involved in the original request.
- When a coordinator needs to be kept in the loop for the progress of all tickets. In this situation, the queue administrator can add this person as a watcher for all tickets.
There are two types of Watchers:
- Cc: Someone who should get copies of any Replies that go to the Requestor but is not necessarily allowed to work on the Ticket.
- AdminCc: Someone who should get copies of any Replies that go to the requestor AND any Comments added to the Ticket. Admin Ccs are generally allowed to work on the Ticket.
Watchers can be specified on a per-Ticket basis. By default, no Watchers are set up for Queues or Tickets.
