How do I find an organization or community in Blackboard?

You may be invited to join an organization that is hosted on our Blackboard site. Communities function like courses. Organizations behave like courses and contain tools that enable participants to communicate efficiently, deliver assessments or leverage third-party integrations like Panopto or VoiceThread. Many organizations are also hosted through myUMBC and these cannot use assessments or third-party tools.

Tell Me

  1. Click on the Organizations tab from the left menu.





  2. Click the Organization Catalog link in the upper right corner of the Organizations page.





  3. Search for the organization's Name or ID.
