How do I create an alternate, non-UMBC email address?

Having an alternate email address comes in handy especially if you've forgotten your myUMBC password. The online password recovery system sends the password reset link to the alternate, nonUMBC email address.

Gmail

  1. Go to http://www.gmail.com

  2. Click the Create an Account link in the bottom right of the screen.

  3. Enter all the required information in the Create an Account online form.

  4. Review the Google Terms of Service. If you accept the terms, click on the "I accept. Create my account" button.

Yahoo

  1. Go to http://www.yahoo.com

  2. Click on the Sign Up link that appears somewhere near the top of the Yahoo home page.

  3. Enter all the required information in the Yahoo! Registration online form.

  4. Click Submit this Form.
