Tips for using the Power Point application
By default, PowerPoint creates a completely new full-screen window when you start a slideshow. Because of this, the Software Capture that is set to record the PowerPoint application may lose the video feed when the slideshow launches in a separate window.
To prevent this from occurring you have two options, described below.
Option 1: Configure PowerPoint to run the slideshow within the same window instead of opening a new full-screen window.
Steps to configure this setting:
Open your presentation in PowerPoint.
Navigate to the Slide Show tab on the top ribbon.
Click Set Up Slide Show.
In the dialog box, under the Show type section, change the selection from “Presented by a speaker (full screen)” to “Browsed by an individual (window)”.
Click OK.
When you start the presentation using this setting, the slideshow will play within a standard resizable window instead of taking over the entire screen. This allows the specific application capture to remain locked onto the PowerPoint window and record the presentation successfully.
Option 2: Select entire screen capture or choose the specific slideshow window after starting the slideshow, which will ensure the recording captures the full presentation.
