MathPix Snip

MathPix Snip is a tool for extracting text, and particularly math, from images and documents. This text/LaTeX can then be pasted into a document editing tool such as a LaTeX or Markdown editor. With Mathpix Snip, you can convert PDFs to Markdown, DOCX, LaTeX, HTML, and Overleaf.

You can also paste images into the editor, and they will be converted into text / LaTeX.

While Mathpix Snip is a powerful engine for character recognition, it is a tool for extraction, not for authoring or delivery. It cannot tag PDFs and it cannot describe images for accessibility. For images, you might consider other AI-powered tools like Ally’s alt text description assistant or Google Gemini.
