How do I use Apple AirPlay on Cisco Room Kits?
AirPlay Tutorial - Present (with an Apple Laptop) wirelessly to a Cisco Room Kit without using the Webex Application
Your Apple Laptop should be logged into the campus EDUROAM wireless network
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to connect to the Room Kits you must turn off any Personal VPNS.
If you are a Visitor and do not have Eduroam, Webex Share is still available.
Click on your Apple Menu top left of your screen and scroll down to System Settings
Scroll down to Control Center and click on Screen Mirroring, select ‘Always Show on Menu Bar’ Note: Screen Mirroring might already be pinned to your Menu Bar
On your menu bar click on the Screen Mirroring icon and locate the name of the Room Kit you wish to share to - in most cases it will also be the name of the room you are in - like ENGR102. If you do not see the Room Kit listed you may need to restart your laptop.
After you select your Room Kit your Apple laptop will prompt you for a 4-digit code, this code will appear on the TV screen, enter the code at the prompt and wait for connection. Select what you want to share (an application like PowerPoint, a browser window or your entire desktop screen).
When finished, click again on the Screen Mirroring icon and the device name in the upper right of your desktop to disengage from the Room Kit
