How do I use Miracast on Cisco Room Kits
Connect to Cisco Room Kits via Miracast by doing the following:
On a Dell PC connect to EDUROAM in the WiFi settings (Miracast does not work on UMBC Visitor)
IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to connect to the Room Kits you must turn off any Personal VPNS.
If you are a Visitor and do not have Eduroam, Webex Share is still available.
Windows Key + K on Dell PC (Pictured Below is an example)
Once the Cast Menu opens up please select the Room Kit name that you are associated with. (In this example the Room Kit we want to connect to is AV Services Room Bar)
Note the name of the Room Kit Will Always be in the upper left corner of the Room Kits display screen and on the Room Kits Navigator
Once the Room Kit has been selected a 4 digit code will appear on the display screen of the Room Kit (Pictured Below is an example)
Enter the 4 digit code into your laptop to Connect to the Room Kit. (Please Note: The 4 digit code generated will be different every time)
Once you have entered the 4 digit code allow for the Room Kit to fully connect then you will be Miracasting
Miracasting works as if you are physically connected to a 2nd Monitor so, you can Duplicate and Extend Screen as needed
When you want to disconnect open up the Cast menu (Windows Key + K) and click Disconnect
