chip-cpu QOS Restrictions

On the chip-cpu slurm cluster, a variety of “queues” exist. This is shorthand for a “QOS” or Quality-of-Service. A job running on chip-cpu must specify a QOS. The choice of QOS may place various restrictions on slurm allocation runtime, requestable nodes, requestable cores, and so on.

Further, some QOSs are partition-dependent. That is, some partitions grant access to a set of QOSs and other partitions do not.

General Partition QOSs

These QOSs are only available across the general partition of chip-cpu.

Contributor Partition QOSs

These QOSs are only available on hardware partitions dedicated to contributing groups.
