Support request Process: email ccsupport@umbc.edu. All Unresolved issues are either referred or escalated to the Tracks Support Team

Backups & Restore

Handled by: Onsite Support Staff & UMBC Windows Systems support group

Backup Jobs Schedule/Frequency: Daily & Weekly

Data Restoration process: User must email: ccsupport@umbc.edu include the following information:

  • Provide best description of the lost, corrupt, etc., data you need restored

  • Date and time period of data loss i.e. the week of, month etc.

  • Other helpful info

Onsite Support Staff will move the ticket to the Windows Systems Support Queue

Onsite IT will work with Tracks support team to determine, the restore schedule, placement of restored data and the assessment of downtime involved during the restore process, testing and notification of database users
