Registration

For students, the process of registering for classes will improve. They will be able to:

• Enroll in classes directly from the schedule of classes page in myUMBC; no more opening of five windows
• Click on the course title and get a course description
• Select courses by a number of criteria, including days of the week, time, course level, GenEd, etc.
• More smoothly add and drop classes as needed or change from one section to another
• Make sure that prerequisites are met through the automatic prerequisite checking system that will go into effect for the fall semester
• waitlist a class and monitor progress
  
  

SA registration will provide faculty with enhanced tools for:

• Granting class permissions
• Providing class exceptions
• Granting advising clearances and authorizations
