I have an alert that says I need to submit a tax return transcript or use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool, but I did not work. What should I do?

Typically when these items are requested, we also request the Independent or Dependent Verification Worksheet. At the bottom of the form in the Tax Filing Status section, check the box that says you did not work, and we will remove the alert for the tax return transcript/IRS Data Retrieval Tool.
