Tell Me

  1. Join the Webex session.
  2. Click the audio connection options in the Webex Meetings app.

    Computer Audio

When choosing to use computer audio and microphone, please make sure that you have selected the best Input and Output settings for your computer. High end laptops and all-in-one computers have great speakers and microphones but some lower end devices may experience poor quality and feedback. Using earbuds or an external headset will help to alleviate this issue. Refer to the image below to check or change your audio and microphone settings.

  3. Choose how you want to hear audio in the session.
    • Use computer for audio lets you use a headset or speakers (default). You can change your headset, speakers, and microphone.

      Other options:
      • Call me: Enter or choose a phone number and Webex will call you.
      • Call in: Dial in from your phone when the meeting starts.
      • Don't connect audio: Use this option if you're in the meeting room but want to use your computer to share content in the meeting, but don't need to hear anything from the session itself.
  4. If you want to mute your microphone or turn off your video, click the corresponding buttons so they turn red. When the microphone or camera is turned on, the buttons will be dark gray.

NOTE: You can turn off mirror view if you want to see yourself in your self-view video the same way that other meeting participants see you.
  5. If you're happy with the audio and video settings that you chose for this meeting, you can save them for your next meeting.
