The traveler (or preparer for the traveler) requests a Travel Reimbursement once travel is completed within ten days of the return.
The traveler must have a completed and fully approved Pre-Approval before the travel begins, when the trip is out of state or involves overnight travel within state (Maryland and DC are both considered in state for UMBC travelers).
Conversely, a Pre-Approval is not required when the traveler makes a day trip within the state.
