I don’t get refunds. Do I have to keep the card and designate an account?

Most refunds come about due to financial aid awards that post to student accounts in excess of the charges on those accounts.

You may be one of those students who does not receive financial aid, but we ask that you choose a preference as well because a refund may generate for other reasons. For instance, you may register for classes, pay for the classes and then drop some or all of your classes and, depending on the timing of your drop, you may be entitled to a refund. We want you to have everything in place so that we can issue the refund to you as quickly as possible. If you do not keep the Student Refund Card or if an account has not been designated, it will delay receipt of those funds. That is why we are asking that, in anticipation of any future refund, you select either the HigherOne account or any account of your choosing.
