MEDIA MATERIALS routing and workflow - UNDER CONSTRUCTION

Videos


All videos–purchased and gifts–will go to JoAnn for copy-cataloging and call numbering.

 

CDs

All CDs–purchased and gifts–will go to April for copy-cataloging and call numbering.

-ROMs

All -ROMs will go to JoAnn for copy cataloging.

Kick out procedures

Kick-out procedure:

Items that have no usable OCLC records should be given to the E-resources/Media Cataloger after three months; copy-catalogers may search as often as they can during these three months and copy-catalog them if a record becomes available during that time. After an item is kicked out to the original cataloger, it will not re-enter the normal workflow.

New/purchased materials:

Videos will go to Jo Ann for numbering and distribution.  Jo Ann will be copy-cataloging (Use a video routing slip with each item)

CDs (music and non-music) will go to April for copy-cataloging

-ROMs will go to Jo Ann for copy-cataloging

Kits will go to April for copy-cataloging

Gifts:

Jo Ann receives and distributes as follows (all items except videos will need a gift flag):

Videos will stay with Jo Ann for copy-cataloging (Use a video routing slip with each item)

CDs (music and non-music) will go to April for copy-cataloging

-ROMs will stay with Jo Ann for copy-cataloging
