Use the URL given in the dc.description.uri column to open the work. If there is no URL given in that column, the notes will provide info on where to find the work.
Check the title given on the work against the title given in the dc.title. If there is no title given, copy and paste it in.
Check the work for different versions of the title, and if you find any, copy and paste them into the dc.title.alternative column
If there is no value given in the dc.description.abstract column, check the work for an abstract or summary, and copy and paste it in.
If the work is in a language other than English, change the value given in the dc.language.iso column to the language of the work, asking for help if you’re not sure of the language.
If the type of work something other than text, change the value of the dc.type colunn to one one of these values: Collection, Dataset, Event, Image, Interactive Resources, Moving Image, Physical Object, Service, Software, Sound, Still Image
If the dc.format.extent column is blank, add the extent.
Check the value given in the dc.date.issued column. If it’s not the YEAR-MO-DY format, put it in that format. If it’s blank, add it using the YEAR-MO-DY format.
Find the DOI given the publisher’s record or the work in copy and paste it into the dc.identifier.uri column.
Check for any sponsors given on the work and copy and past them into the dc.description.sponsorship column
If the work was presented at conference, copy and paste the conference into the dc.description column
