You can request a site for your Department or Organization by following these steps:

Visit http://sites.umbc.edu

On the homepage, under the Request a Site section, click the Submit A Ticket button.
Fill out the required fields (denoted by a red asterisk).
Select the "I need a new website in the sites.umbc.edu environment"

- The Website URL you want to use for your site (Must be a UMBC sub-domain, for example http://example.umbc.edu and not http://umbc.edu/example or not http://example.com)
- The name of the Department / Organization the site is for
- The full name and UMBC campus ID of the primary person responsible for this site
- The full name and UMBC campus ID of any additional people who need administrative access to edit the site

Notice: All Sites must have a primary administrator that is a faculty or staff member. Student organizations are recommended to create a myUMBC Community/Group, unless the content will require reaching an external audience, then they may request a new website as long as a faculty member will be responsible for overseeing the site after the students graduate or leave UMBC. |
