There are 3 ways to make your course available:

Use Qwickly on the My Blackboard tab for a 2-click solution to course availability.
- Click Course Availability from the Qwickly Tools module, which is located in the upper left corner of the My Blackboard tab.
- Click ON to make a course available or OFF to make a course unavailable

Use the Make Available tool from your course Home Page. NOTE: This feature is NEW as of January 6, 2018.
- Log into your course. By default, the Home Page is the first thing you will see.
- Click on the lock icon in the upper right corner.
- When unavailable, the icon appears as a closed lock outlined in red.
- When available, the icon appears as an black open lock outlined in black.

- Select Customization from the Control Panel (lower left side)
- Select Properties
- Scroll to property #3 ("Set Availability") and select “Yes”
- Scroll to the bottom of the page Click Submit

Requesting Change to Course Availability DatesNOTE: Course duration start dates are set by default to 3 weeks prior to the start of the term. A course will not be open to students until the actual date it is set to open. Course duration must be manually updated by Instructional Technology.
