  1. Download and install the Duo Mobile application for your device from the app store (iPhone) or playstore (android).  If you do not have a smartphone, skip this step.
  2. Go to http://accounts.umbc.edu
  3. Click on "Start Using Duo Two-Factor Authentication"
  4. Click on "Activate Duo"

That's it! Duo is now active and you'll be prompted through the enrollment process the next time you authenticate to any UMBC resource.

If you are faculty or staff there is no need to opt in because you should be administratively enrolled. Click here to learn how to start using Duo.
