Edits

      In Aleph,add a blank 006 field and open the form (Ctrl F).

      In Connexion, under the Edit menu, choose Guided Entry -->Insert → Insert 006 and select Computer files as the appropriate format.

Items and Holdings

  1. Add XPT $aY $bMUB to bib record.
  2. Add item to ALEPH record.
    • Push to Items.
    • Go to tab 2. General Information (1).

      Sublibrary: BC-BC
      Collection: MDESK
      Material Type:

      Item Status: 01 (General collection)
      Barcode: Wand in (This will automatically update the record.)

  3. Add holdings to ALEPH record.
    • Click to tab 6. HOL Links
    • Click “Create New” if there is no existing BC holding.
    • Highlighting the BC-BC HOL, click “Edit.”
    • Edit the Call number in the 852:
      • First indicator should be “8”.
      • UMROM number goes in subfield “h”. (The accession number is found at I:\BMS\Accession Lists\UMROM.xlsx)
    • Add OWN field with “BCHOL” in subfield “a”. (The macro for this is alt+O.)

     

Labeling

Put the call number label, the barcode and the UMBC sticker on the container.
