Faculty/Staff: DoIT has secured Microsoft Forefront Endpoint Protection (Forefront) licenses for University owned machines used by UMBC faculty and staff. This extends to one personally owned system used for work associated with the University.  Other home computers should use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE).
Students: Students are encouraged to use Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE), a free antivirus product for personal use computers.

DoIT encourages faculty, staff, and students to use Windows Defender, which is already installed automatically on Windows 10 computers.
