- Open *Thunderbird.
- Go to Tools then Options.
- Under Options select Composition, Then click on the Addressing tab.
- Place a checkmark on Directory Server and click on Edit Directories.
- Click on Add.
- Enter the following within the GeneralĀ tab:
- Name: UMBC LDAP
- Hostname: directory.umbc.edu
- Base DN: dc=umbc,dc=edu
# Click *OK*
# Click *OK* again
# Make sure that *Directory Server* is checked and UMBC LDAP is selected in the drop down menu
# Click *OK*
# Thunderbird is now configured for LDAP
