1. In a private browsing window, log in to myUMBC from your computer.

If the device you're replacing is your default device, you may need to cancel the login request that was sent automatically by clicking Cancel. Click the X to acknowledge that the request was canceled.

2. If you're replacing or resetting an existing device that uses the same phone number, select My Settings and Devices.

3. Select an authentication method. If you have a backup device you can use that option. If you do not have access to a backup device, you can use one of two options below:

  • Select Enter a Passcode and then click Text me new codes to have Duo send a set of 10 passcodes via SMS. Once codes are successully sent, enter the passcode in the passcode field and click Log In to authenticate.
  • (Faculty/Staff Only) Select Call Me and Duo will call your phone to authenticate.

34. Once authenticated, select Device Options next to your mobile phone.

5. Click on Reactivate Duo Mobile to follow the onscreen prompts. After answering some questions about your device, you'll receive a new QR code to scan with your phone, which will complete the Duo Mobile activation process.
