Tell Me

1. Log into Blackboard and access your Original Blackboard course.
2. Choose a content area in your course where you want the VoiceThread link to reside.
3. Click on Build Content from the menu.
4. Select VoiceThread Activity.
   
   
   
   
5. Enter a title for the VoiceThread (required) and add a description (optional). NOTE: The description cannot contain any line breaks or multiple paragraphs.
   
   
   
   
6. If this VoiceThread is a graded assignment, enable grading by selecting the YES radio button. Enter the number of points possible. Assign a due date if appropriate.
   
   
   
   
7. Click SUBMIT to save.

After you have added VoiceThread to your course, you’ll need to decide what you want students to see when they click on that link.

1. Start by clicking on the link you’ve just created.
2. A new window or tab will open to display VoiceThread.
3. The VoiceThread set-up page will open.
4. Select Assignment Builder to create a graded assignment for students to complete. 
   
5. Select the type of VoiceThread assignment:

   1. Create a VoiceThread to submit for a grade.
   2. Comment on a VoiceThread you have created. Note: Private comments do not count.
   3. Watch a VoiceThread from start to finish.
6. After you’ve selected the type of assignment you’d like to create, you’ll be walked through the steps to complete the setup process. Options include:
   1. Include a description for your assignment
   2. Select a VoiceThread you’ve created for the Comment or Watch Assignment
   3. Decide whether students are allowed to resubmit their assignments or if the first submission is final
   4. Require a specific number of comments for the Comment Assignment.
