Windows won't activate over the UMBC Visitor wireless connection or from an off-campus internet connection. To activate Windows, you will either need to be connected to the UMBC campus network or connected to the UMBC VPN if you are using an off-campus internet connection. NOTE: If the activation fails despite being on the VPN or campus connection, right-click the win_activate.bat file and select Run as administrator. If your user account doesn’t have administrative rights, you may not be able to complete the activation. |
