It is a student’s responsibility to check to see if they are automatically enrolled off a waitlist. If the deadline to drop an individual course has not passed then drop the course with the W grade. You can then petition to the Office of Enrollment Management to remove the W grade if you have extenuating circumstances as to why you did not drop the course off the waitlist. If it is passed the deadline to drop an individual course you can go directly to the petition process with Enrollment Management.
