Pharos mobile printing enables you to remotely upload images and documents to Pharos printer stations. Funds for Pharos printing come from your Campus Card account. For more information about Campus Card and how to add funds to it, please go here: http://campuscard.umbc.edu/about/

  1. Open Chrome, press the options button (the three vertical dots icon on the top right-hand corner of the screen), and select "Request desktop site".

    Go to this site: Download and install the Pharos Print application from the Google Play store.

  2. Launch the Pharos Print App. When prompted for a server name, enter mobileprint.umbc.edu
    The Pharos print desktop site will open. Type in your UMBC credentials and press "Log in".

    Click "Upload". A window will appear asking for the location of the file on your computer that you want to print. Once you select the file, it may take a few moments to finish uploading.

    The file will now appear in the job list. To preview the print job, click the print preview icon that is in the "Print Preview" column of the uploaded file's print job. If you want to add more files to the job list, repeat steps 1 - 4.

    To customize the output of your print job (color, double or single sided, etc) go to the "Print options" section towards the bottom right-hand corner of the screen.

  3. On the next screen, login with your myUMBC username and password, and click Log On.

  4. Click the Upload button to choose a file from your phone.

  5. Once a file has uploaded, you can change color/B&W, double sided, number of copies, and other settings before printing on the Print Options tab.

  6. Review your available funds and the total cost of your print jobs.

    If you want to delete a file from the job list, select the document from the list and press the "Delete" icon.

    Now you can go to any Pharos station in the Library, Commons, or in the Engineering building and swipe your Campus ID Card at the printer release station to print the files that you have uploaded.
