Be sure that you are connected to the wireless network named “eduroam”, otherwise you will not find the printers.

How to install the Printer Drivers

1. Identify the type of system you are running on. It will be either 32-bit or 64-bit. To do this  click on the windows start key and type “System” into the search bar and hit enter.

   
   

2. A window will pop up with your system information. Look for “System Type”.

 Download and install file from the link below, hit “Download Anyway” to begin download:

How to Install the printer. (You will have to do this twice if you wish to connect to both printers in the lounge.)

Windows 8

1. Click on the windows icon in the bottom left corner.

2. Once inside the start menu type “Devices and Printers”. On the right you will see a few options. Select Devices and Printers from the list.

Windows 7

1. 1. Click on the windows icon in the bottom left corner.

   2. Once inside the start menu select “Devices and Printers”, it will be to the right.

The following instructions will work with Both windows 7 and windows 8

3. Once in the Devices and Printers menu select “Add a Printer”.

4. A new window will open and your computer will search the network for available printers. You will then be able to select “HP Laserjet Pro M521”. Go ahead and select “HP Laserjet Pro M521”.Image Modified

(If no printer is found move on to Part A below, otherwise skip to part 4.)

Part A) If no printer was found hit “The printer that I want isn’t Listed”Image Modified

Part B) Please Select Add a Printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname, click Next.

Part C) In the field labeled “Hostname or IP address” enter the IP address of the Printer you wish to connect to. The IP addresses are 130.85.196.79 and 130.85.196.78. Then click next.

Part D) Select the correct driver for your printer. On the left panel you will see a list of manufacturers. Select “HP”. The list to the right will show you the available models of printers. Select “HP Laserjet Pro M521”, then click next.

Installing the Printers

1. 1. Drag your mouse up to the search button on the right of the menu bar.Image Modified

   2. Now type “Printers” and hit Enter.Image Modified

   3. A new window will open. Click the plus sign in the bottom left of the Window.

   4. A new window will open, Select the tab labeled IP.

5.Enter the IP Address in the space next to “Address:”

 130.85.196.79 OR 130.85.196.78

6. The system may automatically select the driver to be used. Once it has loaded the

driver, choose “Add” to add the printer.
