# Place a checkmark on *Directory Server* and click on *Edit Directories*
# Click on *Add*
# Enter the following within the *General* tab:
#* Name: UMBC LDAP
#* Hostname: directory.umbc.edu
#* Base DN: dc=umbc,dc=edu
# Click *OK*
# Click *OK* again
# Make sure that *Directory Server* is checked and UMBC LDAP is selected in the drop down menu

# Thunderbird is now configured for LDAP
