Positive Impacts: - Ability to track students from recruitment through admissions will provide better yield reporting.
- Self-service functionality that allows applicants to check the status of their application and missing documents online
- Opportunity to streamline the Undergraduate Admissions process and those of other departments such as the Honors College and Academic departments with selective standards for their majors.
- Integration of SA and document imaging application to improve graduate school admission processes.
- Ability to capture the history of applications submitted as opposed to the old data being overwritten.
- Elimination of shadow systems.
- Better targeting of recruitment communications through use of additional recruiting status.
- Loading of SAT/AP/PSAT data in SA improves our previous process by using customizable Search/Match functionality.
- Integrated query tool will allow staff greater access to information.
Challenges (potential negaive impacts): - Maintaining operations while implementing a new system
- Implementing new technologies and ongoing staff training
- Associated costs of new system (cost of training, redesigning publications)
