Amazon Checks
- *Insure that the information in the Amazon record matches the order. * If there are descrepenciesdiscrepancies, search BIP, and Barnes & Noble.com until you find a match. If you find a better match, print and attach that record to the front of the order, and put the order in the box for completed searching of that type. If you don't find a better match, write "Best Match" on the Amazon record, and continue with this procedure.
- Search numbered series appearing in the Amazon record that did not appear on the original order using the Series Searching Procedure.
- Search Possible Added Volumes if new information appearing in the Amazon record leads you to think it might be an added volume. Use the Possible Added Volume Procedure.
- Check for an "Add to Shopping Cart" button.
- If the button is present:
- write "available per Amazon" on the original BRF and place it in the Complex Editing tray. If the order needs to have a record exported, send it to cataloging instead.
- If the "Add to Shopping Cart" button is not present, look for:
- Indication that the item is not yet published:
- "Pre-Order Now" button,
- A statement that the item is not yet published
- A publication date in the future
- Indication that the item is not yet published:

If you find any of those things:

- Put Collection Building orders in the NYP tray.
- Put Priority orders in the Special Ordering Technician's in-box.
- Indication that the item is out-of-print:
- A "New and Used" link.
- A statement that the item is out-of-print.
- Indication that the item is out-of-print:
If you find either of those things:

- Put Collection Building orders in the OP tray.
- Put Priority orders in the Special Ordering Technician's in-box.
Amazon Zeros
- If the searching was done by a new student, re-do a selection of searching to insure that it was done correctly.
- Put them in the Barnes & Noble searching tray.
